Everyone always says, “know your ideal client and market to her.” That is hard as crap when you’re starting out. You start a business because you like making the things you do and people have started to take interest. But how do you get more people interested and stay interested? It’s that dirty, huge umbrella called marketing. But when you start marketing to potential clients you need a game plan as to who you are trying to attract.
Here is a list of good questions to ask yourself and answer. Then, each time make a post on Instagram, write a blog post or host a giveaway on Facebook, look at your answers and see if the look, feel and content is geared toward your ideal client.
Hint: Your ideal client will most likely end up being someone like yourself. It is easier to post things that you like than continuously trying to come up with content that’s really not you. Bonus: Some of your clients will most likely end up being your friend because they’re into the same things you like!
